a precious or small stone, especially one cut polished and used in a piece of jewellery. A gemstone also known as gem is a piece of mineral crystal which in cut is used to make jewelry or other ornaments.

An un-shaped gemstone which is uncut is called 'rough'. It is the gem in naturl form, also found in the earth just as nature made. They are also known as raw gems but the appropriate name is rough. Different gemstones have different imact on different humans. The changes that happen after wearing stones may be good or bad take time to happen usually you have to wait for months to actually see the effect of a stone in your daily life.
